The Vision Behind The Links Experience

The inception of The Links Experience stems from a vision shared between Fancourt’s director of sport and recreation, Dominique Jacobs, and Fancourt owner Hasso Plattner. Following discussions in 2022, Plattner proposed transforming the old Bramble golf course into this innovative nine-hole layout. Recognising Player’s expertise in course design, Jacobs reached out to him to bring this vision to life.

Course Features

The Links Experience is uniquely structured as a par-34 course, featuring:

• One par 5
• Three par 3s
• Five par 4s

This layout allows players the flexibility to choose between a traditional par-34 game or an exclusive par-3 experience. Each hole is thoughtfully named, enhancing the course’s character as players progress through its stunning landscape. Player expressed his enthusiasm for the design, stating, “It’s a beautiful layout, lots of soft grasses and coloured bunkers, something very different.” He emphasised that the course is designed for enjoyment across all age groups, particularly catering to elderly players who may appreciate its versatility.

A Unique Golfing Environment

One of the standout features of The Links Experience is its absence of housing developments on the course—a rarity at Fancourt. This design choice allows for an uninterrupted golfing experience amidst nature’s beauty.
